Corporate communication is the message issued by a corporate organization, body, or institute to its publics. "Publics" can be both internal (employees, stakeholders, i.e. share and stock holders) and external (agencies, channel partners, media, government, industry bodies and institutes, educational and general public). The concept of corporate communication could be seen as an integrative communication structure linking stakeholders to the organization. A corporate communication structure is also a system which enables organizations to strategically orchestrate all types of communication.
involves working with various media for the purpose of informing the public of an organization's mission, policies and practices in a positive, consistent and credible manner. Typically, this means coordinating directly with the people responsible for producing the news and features in the mass media. The goal of media relations is to maximize positive coverage in the mass media without paying for it directly through advertising.
A news conference is often announced by sending an advisory or news release to assignment editors, preferably well in advance. Press Event can be held just about anywhere, in settings as formal as hotel conference rooms to as informal as the sitdown dinner in restaurant. Good for who finds benefit in the free publicity afforded by media coverage
A tour of a place or institution, organized specifically for members of the news media to allow them to become familiar with the place or institution. It's specifically a press event, usually not open to members of the general public. .The aim is to try to either get publicity or to avoid having to deal with the same questions and issues over and over individually by media members
A press kit, often referred to as a media kit in business environments, is a pre-packaged set of promotional materials of a person, company, or organization distributed to members of the media for promotional use. They are often distributed to announce a release or for a news conference. An electronic press kit (EPK) is a press kit equivalent in electronic form. An EPK usually takes the form of a website or e-mail, though they are also known to exist in CD and DVD form
Not every celebrity will enhance your event. Celebrities on your list should mirror your company's image and mission statement to ensure that your attendees are not turned off. Also provide the details of the event, and prepare a list of all of the benefits the celebrity will enjoy due to attending.
News Release Write-up
An engaging press release with an interesting ‘hook’ or angle is an excellent way to gain exposure for your product or service and can lead to media interviews with appearances on television and radio stations, and in newspapers or magazines. The objective of a release is to capture the attention of your audience
An advertorial or infomercial is an advertisement designed to simulate editorial content, while at the same time offering valid information to your prospective clients. It is widely known that people give more credibility to editorial content than to paid advertisements. The advertorial content suggests that someone else has endorsed your product or service. With a powerful advertorial it can help distinguish specific brand from the competitors.
Event management is considered one of the strategic marketing and communication tools by companies of all sizes. From product launches to press conferences, companies create promotional events to help them communicate with clients and potential clients. We might target the audience by using the news media, hoping to generate media coverage which will reach thousands or millions of people. We can also invite their audience to their events and reach them at the actual event.
Tracking and Evaluation
PR campaign with out tracking and evaluation is a poor campaign design, execution or management. The fact is we now have a wide variety of tools at our disposal to demonstrate the return. Using those tools properly means that you not only see what works, you also get to see what doesn't so that campaigns can be amended. Public relations is never likely to be an exact science but we can at least apply a methodical approach to campaign management and measurement.
The most effective media relations campaigns are those based on relationships that have been developed with journalists over time. The same holds true for bloggers. We provide a direct link between a blogger's editorial line and your products or services to motivate a clear awareness to the blogger's interest.
